Josée Landry and Michel Beauchamp have apparently won their battle to keep their front yard rubain de potage (vegetable garden) thanks largely to a 30,000+ signature petition encouraging Drummondville to repeal plans to ban front yard vegetable gardens. The petition was sponsored by Kitchen Gardeners International. The couple apparently fell afoul of bylaw regulations that restricted vegetable gardens to 30% of the front yard … in contravention of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
